The Brink:
I
had long forgotten this song, written in a time when I
was seeing environmental destruction, social distress,
and economic manipulation. Then I visited Peter, and he
asked me to play the song. I had no recollection. He then
vanished, arriving moments later with the words, music,
and even chord diagrams, written out at his request many
years ago. I relearned the song, and realized that I was
still in a time of environmental destruction, social distress
and economic manipulation. The song almost didn’t
make it to the CD… I think I got good advice. Is
the world on the brink? I doubt it not in my life.
